· We would like to publish your 2007 high school varsity batting and/or pitching stats and any post-season honors for this season in the program book, which the players, coaches, and scouts will all receive. If you don’t yet have this season' stats, send in your application. Now. If you wait, you may end up on the waiting list. Then mail your 2007 stats to Dick Swarthout ASAP after this varsity season ends. If you don’t send it, we can’t put it in the book. We need this information for the printer as soon as you receive it. If this year’s stats aren’t available when you send in your application, include last year’s stats and honors to help us in forming teams.
· We want all eligible prospects who are sincerely interested to be able to attend. Scholarships for registration fees and billeting with local families will be made available for students with a demonstrated financial need. Give Mr. Braun a call (313-823-0192) if you have a concern.
· We will provide information in early summer on hotel accommodations, directions to the fields, coach and team assignments, etc., after your application is received and processed. If you have any questions or comments, please write or call Dick Swarthout or Tony Braun or see our web page.
· The Showcase is sponsored by Grosse Pointe Baseball. Net proceeds, if any, will go to Redbirds amateur baseball teams, ages 15-19.
· $200.00 total cost (includes ticket to picnic), payable with application. Note: Deposit is non-refundable after July 15th. Mail application and check made payable to "Grosse Pointe Baseball" to We expect to limit registration to a maximum of 156.
